Conflict is sometimes an inevitable part of our personal lives and our workplace is not immune. However, conflicts in the workplace are not always easy to resolve. For employees, unresolved work problems often lead to despair, discontent in the workplace, depression, and general unhappiness. If one remains unsuspected with these problems, it can lead to aggression, violence, withdrawal and even resignation; which leads to deeper problems such as: absenteeism, high employee turnover and deficits in corporate culture. If an organization is large enough to support a position in relation to employees, it can send a positive message to staff about the value the employer attaches to maintaining positive employee relationships. . . .
